Unfortunately my Brand New X2-CR and starting equipment was stolen off my pit table while I was pitting for the Truggy "B" Final at DRT Summer series RND 1, would appreciate if everyone could keep an eye out for it as it had only been run for 30min in the qualifiers, if you could PM me with any info I would greatly appreciate it as you could probably see by the spec this was quite an expensive loss:
The shell was purple and pink with chrome stars and a plain white wing

Thanks for everyone’s support, kind donations and those people who gave chase and managed to inflict some damage on the Blue R reg Peugeot 406 as it got away, hopefully this doesn't reflect badly on DRT as a venue or RC racers in general as I've always found everyone at DRT and in the sport to be really friendly and very helpful and I can only assume that this was just opportunist thieving scum who probably don't have a clue what they have nicked and may try to sell on for peanuts compared to what it’s worth.
I wasn't the only victim it may help if anybody else who lost stuff could list a description of what they lost.
THIS IS FROM 1 VERY GUTTED DRIVER WHO RACED AT DRT AT WEEKEND
Jamie asked if i would post to make other drivers aware of his theft as does not want the same to happen no 1 else
NOTE; THERE WERE ALSO 3 MORE KIT STOLEN FROM PITTING AREA

The knack of flying is learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss.
Unfortunately not - I suspect they're well rehearsed in planning a sharp exit from whatever they're 'liberating' from the rightful owners....
More information is posted on the Dartford forum, which if mods here are happy for me to link to, I will post up later. We're awaiting details from others who've had their gear taken, should they wish to post up.
Regards
Adrian

It confused me as well Andy as mandy has posted "managed to inflict some damage on the Blue R reg Peugeot 406 as it got away," surely if they got close enough to damage it they would get the number?
I am sure we are all grateful for the info anyway and will all be on the look out for Blue R reg Peugeot's at race meetings.
On a more positive/constructive note the PT's need circulating to all rallycross clubs as they are the easiest things to identify. My guess is they will at some time appear at an SRS meeting unless they get sold on the Bay

Andy thankyou for information on pt i will tell the poor guys this info as you never know i am not sure of full information all i know was they got part of the reg number
Still a mindless thing to do as some has worked and saved hard for there stuff for the sport

This is real bad news guys.
Been talking to a guy earlier, who was at the meet, and he reckons in the region of 4k worth of kit went missing
The guy featured here, his car was like 30 mins old!! Its totally gutting.
We are all relaxed at race meets and get complacent i guess, but it shows what could happen.
It kicked off big time. A spectator spotted what was going on, they told a racer who told race control who then alerted over the PA. A load of guys chased the scum, who were tearing off in a Peugeot, and managed to brick the car smashing a few windows including the windscreen but sadly didnt hit the bulls eye which would of been the drivers head!! And yes..he was amazed as non, of about the 10, that were bricking the car got the reg. Probably too occupied with trying to kill the bas**rds.
Lets hope to god this is a one off.
Regards Graham.
At the end of the day the car was probably stolen or just as likely not registered, taxed or insured.
Yes it is a mindless thing to do as has already been said below. As I have already posted I retired last week and picked up our replacement motorhome Friday. Within hours it had been bricked by 5 of the local yobs who when challenged on the park just laughed....for a short period....I can therefore understand the anger of the guys bricking the escaping car. ironic really!
Still a mindless thing to do as some has worked and saved hard for there stuff for the sport

Perhaps there could be a collection at a big meeting or two and see if the manufacturers could help out by providing replacements at cost??
Just a thought!

Unbelievable, my sympathies go to one and all, I am paranoid about this sort of thing anyway but I guess I've been lapse lately too, so I'll be locking my car between runs with everything of value safe inside from now on.
I guess someone figured out how much all this sort of stuff is worth and has an outlet for it, otherwise they wouldn't have run the risk just for some free toys, none of which they can use without transmitters etc.
Might be worth contacting all the local model shops to make sure that anything that's offered for slae gets grabbed and the doors locked, so their legs can fall off in private!
I'm been in shops before now when kids/lads have walked in to see if the owner was interested in some used equipement, but amazingly no one battered an eye lid let alone some heads, I guess without proof it's hard to challenge them as it might be genuine. Nothing that was stolen was unique apoart from the PT's and paint jobs.
Sorry to hear about your motorhome Andy, I hope you did the right thing, I did recently and got a free lift home and a hand shake from the police that responded, the more people that stand up for themselves instead of backing down when faced with chavs and the "I never, you can't touch me" brigade the better.
Well done to everyone that hit the car with a brick as it left the circuit, no one gave chase in a car though? Bet they pulled in soon after and swapped cars to one with the windows intact so as not to raise suspicion.

More info here folks - hope admin don't mind me posting the link
To summarise, the car was basically parked away from the track and the scum legged it on foot.
A collection was made which raised quite a bit - but nowhere near the cost of replacement, as you can imagine.
It's unfortunate nobody got the plate - someone did give chase by car, but they had a head start, the chaser had to start their car, get out of the car park and join the main road - by that stage they were long goneWhen faced with this situation some people will remember details, others will act on impulse, so in this case no plate.
As Andy says, I doubt very much if the car would've proved to be registered to the person driving it anyway.
The local model shop is well aware - they were on site on Sunday. We're in the process of contacting people who may be able to help out in getting these guys up and running again ASAP

hello
just read this post and its a crying shame.but one thing that did strike me that nobody has mentioned is...the scum who did this will more than likely have internet access so possibly be members of any rc forums and would use the forums to find out race dates a venues...so i would take extra extra care from now on
byeeee
Unfortunately i was one of the 3 who had there gear taken, im in the process of trying to get my home insurance to pay out.
I have added up the total of my stuff alone and it comes in £1510 at todays rrp.
My insurance (if they pay out) will cover £1000.
The sad thing is, these scum bags wil sell all this stuff for next to nothing so they can get there next fix.
I'd like to say thanks for the wip round sunday, and the offers of lending kit.
